Clean and Simple

Hello there,

hope you're having a good weekend...mines been very relaxing. Joe has been away all weekend at a Drifting event so I've been doing lots of girlie things! Spent Friday night eating popcorn and watching girlie movies, yesterday I visited my sister and we went for afternoon tea in The French Tarte in Surbiton and today I went shopping! Bliss!

I've also made time for my two favourite passions.....crafting and baking! First off I'll share my card with you...and this time I've kept it clean and simple to join in with the challenge over at Allsorts this week:

I love this image, but I usually use it with lots of pink backing papers and glitter...this time I decided to keep it simple and let the image shine. I've stamped the sentiment directly onto the card and added the image using 3D sticky pads to really make her pop! I think it works quite well. I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Anything Goes - Anything Goes challenge
The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes

Pop by all these blogs to see the gorgeous DT cards. We've also got a fab anything goes challenge over at Sweet Stampin this week, pop by and see Team Fi's gorgeous creations!

So, I mentioned that I've also been baking....I decided to keep that simple today too and opted to make some yummy vanilla cupcakes. I then went a little bit mad on the decorations, with homemade button embellishments, hundreds and thousands and a little silver glitter!!
Thanks for popping by today, hope to see you again soon.

The Darkside

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

I hope you're keeping well and having a good week so far. I've finally found some time to myself and spent the last hour crafting - an hour well spent I'm sure you'll agree! I've made a series of very similar cards, inspired by the "one layer" challenge over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. I've used my favourite stamp and lots of gems and sparkle!

I've also been inspired by a colour combo challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge this week, where the lovely ladies want to see cards which are black and purple.....well you know how much I love purple!

I hope the Cupcake ladies approve of my card.....i've used black ink to stamp my image and sentiment directly onto the card and then I've embellished my tree with purple gems and black stickles. This card is to send to my Aunty in Bognor, I hope she likes it.

Pop by both blogs to see all the gorgeous DT cards.

I also wanted to show you my latest vintage purchase, some gorgeous Meakin coffee cups and saucers....what do you think?? I got these from my favourite antique shop in Farnham, which is a wonderful old house, with wonky floors!
Right, thats all tonight folks....the washing up calls! Thanks for popping by today, I love reading all your lovely comments.

Flowers and a sketch

Morning Everyone!

Well, I've been missing for a while haven't I?? I've been on my holidays! I went to Spain with my best week for a week of sunshine, good food and relaxing. We stayed at a 4 star all inclusive hotel on the Costa del Sol, it was a little bit pricey, but after the year I've had I decided to splash out. And I'm happy to report that it was worth the money...the hotel was amazing, the sun shone all week and I ate soooo much good food! Here is a little photo of the sunshine that I'm now really missing...

Right, enough of that! Its Saturday and that only means one thing...its time for another Challenge over at Sweet Stampin where our monthly sponsor is Heather Ellis. Our theme this week has been chosen by the lovely Tracey and she'd like to see your cards with flowers on. In addition to the theme we also have an optional sketch for you to play with.....this one created by me!
Our weekly sponsor this week is Stamp Galaxy....so get crafting and show us your flowery designs! Don't forget to pop over to the other DT blogs to see all the gorgeous cards that we've created this week. So without further ado here is my card...I had fun playing with my sketch and I used a really cute Heather Ellis digi image...

As soon as I saw this image I thought it'd be perfect for a get well card....and that also fitted in nicely with our flowers theme!

I can't wait to see your lovely creations this week.

Thanks for popping by,

Anything but a Birthday!

Hello campers! Happy Saturday!

Can you believe its already September?? It'll be Christmas before we all know it!! Its really exciting at Sweet Stampin this month because we have a new fab monthly sponsor - Heather Ellis. Pop over to Heather's website to see all her gorgeous designs!

This week's challenge is pretty cool too...the lovely Zoe picked the "anything but a Birthday" theme...so get crafting and show us your non-Birthday cards! We also have a fab optional sketch for you to use if you fancy...created by the lovely Vicky:

Its a fab sketch....but remember its optional!

Here is my card...

I loooovveee this stamp, it was well worth the cost as I have used it so many times. It works for so many different occasions from Birthdays or anniversaries to Christmas....or thinking of you cards! Although its a thinking of you card I wanted something a little cheerful, so I opted for my favourite zingy colour combo - purple and lime! I've added loads of bling to the tree to hopefully make everyone smile!

Pop over to the Sweet Stampin blog to see all the gorgeous DT cards this week.

Thanks for popping by, its lovely to see you!
