A little bit Christmassey...

....woo hoo....a week day post! I haven't done one of these in ages! Hope you're keeping well and having a good week so far.

The wedding last weekend was wonderful....it was a very beautiful and elegant affair in London...the bride looked stunning and everyone had a wonderful time....well Joe didn't really like his suit...as you'll see from this photo...but he did smile eventually! In the end I was really pleased with my outfit...even my oversized fascinator looked good!! The ceremony took place in a church which was lit by gorgeous candles, then the reception took place at One Marylebone...there was gorgeous food, lots of champagne and lots of dancing! A good time was had by all!

This evening I've been catching up with some card orders for Christmas...but I also had some time to make a card for myself. I decided to stick with the theme of the evening and make a Christmas card....

I'm quite pleased with this card as I have combined lots of different elements and was a bit worried it'd look a bit silly. I'd like to enter this card in two challenges:

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - borders and flowers
Allsorts - pennants or bunting (I opted for bunting!)

Right, its nearly bedtime I think!
Thank you for stopping by today.

Punches & Dies

Hello campers, hope you've had a good week!

Mine's been another hectic one.....with Joe's 30th Birthday and Joe's sister's wedding. This week I've been bowling, played on arcades, went go-karting for the first time, visited the V&A, went on a flight simulator at the Science Museum and spent an evening at The Comedy Store (this was all on Monday & Tuesday!!). The end of the week sees me back in London for the wedding - my outfit is sorted  (I've been inspired by the 1950s) and Joe has his Morning Suit.

Phew, its been hectic!! But I did have some time late one night for some crafting! The challenge this week at Sweet Stampin is Punches & Dies and we are sponsored by the fab Pollycraft - pop over to their store to see all the gorgeous digi images they have - they'll be spoilt for choice!! I was very lucky to be given the cutest little penguin to play with...he went perfectly with my snowflake punch and I got a little carried away and created two cute little Christmas cards!!

Isn't he the cutest??

So, what are you waiting for....we want to see your cute cards which feature either punches or die shapes...or both! Don't forget you also need to use a stamped image...either traditional with ink or a digi!! Need some inspiration?? Visit the Sweet Stampin blog and my fellow DT blogs...there are lots of gorgeous cards!!

Sweet Gingham Birthday Wishes!

Happy Saturday everyone, hope you're having a lovely weekend.

A really late Sweet Stampin Saturday post from me this week, sorry! Its been a busy day trying to find a dress for Joe's sister's wedding which is suddenly in two weeks time! I've fretted about this for weeks, putting off the shopping trip, but today was the day and I'm pleased to say I've found a gorgeous 50s style tea dress!

Right, without further a do....the Sweet Stampin challenge this week is Gorgeous Gingham! So check out your paper stash and get crafting with your gorgeous gingham paper! I have to say I struggled a little with this challenge....assuming that I had plenty of gingham paper in stash to choose from....apparently this is all I have....

...literally that tiny rectangle was all I could find!! Oh well, sounds like the perfect excuse for a shopping trip!

I love this little stamp and haven't used him in ages, I think he looks soooo cute! I've picked a fresh green colour theme....to match my gingham BP and added some cute little punched daisys!

Check out the Sweet Stampin blog to see all the gorgeous Team Abi DT cards!

Hap-bee Birthday!

Hello folks, how are you this evening?

I'm in a surprisingly good mood for a Monday, not sure why! I've got lots of exciting things happening in the next couple of weeks, maybe thats a factor?? I've got a big meeting at work which I'm organising at The Langham hotel in London, as an organiser I attend the whole event including the dinner and I get to stay in the lovely hotel too. With nearly 70 guests its hard work, but good fun too! I've also got Joe's 30th Birthday and Joe's sister's wedding! So much going on!!

I've been asked to make a card for someone at work who has a Birthday this week, the gentleman in question keeps bees and loves the wildlife in his garden, so I've created this card for him....

I think its a tad bit girlie...what do you think? Hopefully he'll like it anyway! I've used a zingy yellow backing paper, along with some fab black and white polka dot paper for the background. I've also found a list of common garden flowers that I've added to the background too (this is from one of my gardening books so I hope he appreciates it!!). I've stamped a little bee and a happy birthday sentiment onto some plain white card, I've coloured the image with my Promarkers. Finally I added some little dots to frame my bee and some punched red flowers.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges this week:

Allsorts Challenge - anything but square - I'm afraid I haven't been very imaginative, but its not square!!
Cupcake Craft Challenge - textalicious - my list of garden flowers comes from a book!

Finally as promised yesterday, here are the yummy cupcakes that I made last night! They have an amaretto biscuit base, a baileys sponge and some vanilla frosting. I decorated the cupcakes with a little pink shimmer sugar! Joe has declared these as the best cakes he's ever tasted.....they also went down well at work, so I'm pleased!

Thanks for popping by today, I'm off to make some 2D Christmas tree ornaments from felt!

Blue and Green.....

Evening Folks!

Hope you're all well and had a lovely weekend! I spent yesterday morning with my mum in Farnham, we had a lovely time at the monthly market. Then when mum went home my best friend Becca arrived! What a busy Saturday! Today I've spent my day making Christmas cards....I finally got some festive inspiration from a cute and cuddly friend...

Isn't he cute??

Anyway, after my making first batch of festive cards I decided to pop by Sir Stampalot to see what challenge and they have this month....and I was sooo pleased to see that its a "blue and green" theme. I always love making blue and green cards because they make my mum cross...she's a firm believer in that old saying "blue and green should never be seen".....luckily I'm not!

I've gone back to an old favourite stamp for this card....its so versitile and people always love the cards it features on...really one of the best stamps I have ever bought! I've stamped the image on plain white card and then added sparkle with gems and glitter. I've used plain green and blue backing papers to frame the card and the image, and then I've added some really pretty blue backing paper that features white trees. I think it really matches the image. Finally I added the little circular sentiment.

Don't forget to pop by the Sir Stampalot blog to see all the gorgeous DT cards!

I think its time to bake some cakes now....I'll show you the results tomorrow!
