Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone!!

I hope you are well and ready for Christmas. This is my first "live post" in ages!! As some of you know I made the silly decision to move house the week before Christmas (something I wouldn't recommend doing!!)....its been chaos to say the least and to make it worse my lovely internet provider has messed up my internet!! I'm currently at my sister's house and so I wanted to pop by and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!

Thank you for everyone's lovely comments over the last couple of weeks and I am sorry that I haven't been around to see everyone's fab blogs in ages! I also want to say a BIG thank you to my Design Teams for putting up with my abscence recently, everyone has been extremly understanding!

Soooo......I haven't got a card for you today as I'm still not sure where all crafting goodies are!! However, it wouldn't be right to have a Christmas post without some cakes would it?

Merry Christmas!

Seeing Double.....

Hello there, I hope you are keeping well!!

Today over at Sweet Stampin we have a fab challenge for you called "seeing double"...yes, we'd like to see two of something on your card!

I've opted for two cute penguins....

Told you they were cute! I've coloured my Stamp Fairy penguins using my Promakers and I have added some glossy accents to the floor to represent the ice. For the backing paper I decided my penguins might want something to keep them warm!

Anything goes at Christmas!

Hello there!

Happy Tuesday! I hope you are keeping well!

Soooo....I am very excited right now....tomorrow is officially my last day at work in 2012! After tomorrow I won't be back until January....how lovely!

Tomorrow is also my mum's Birthday....so I will wish her an early HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We're taking mum up to London on Sunday, we're going for brunch at One Aldwych and then seeing a movie in their private cinema.

Anway, today is Tuesday and therefore its time for a new challenge at Celebrate the Occasion...this is a bit of a sad challenge for me as its my last one at Celebrate the Occasion. I've been part of the fab DT for six months now, and its been brilliant being part of such a talented team. I will miss the team and will no doubt be popping by next year to join in some of the challenges!

Soooo....whats my last challenge at Celebrate the Occasion? Well, its "anything goes" at Christmas time! So, what are you waiting for....get crafting....

I hope by now you've sent all your Christmas cards! This is such a sweet image and therefore I decide to go with a traditional colour combo for this card. The image is coloured with my Promarkers and I've added some glitter to the snow.

Pop by the Celebrate the Occasion blog to see what the other members of the DT have created.

I would also like to enter this challenge over at Make it Monday!

I have the perfect image for this challenge....it always makes me smile....

Hee, hee, hee!! Isn't it fab??
I've coloured my StampFairy image with my Promarkers and added a lot of glitter to the snow. I've gone with backing paper which might explain why Santa got stuck in the chimney!

Snowflakes everywhere!

Hello there,

Happy Tuesday! I hope you are keeping well.

Sorry I've been rather quiet recently...but I have some fab news....I am moving house! This is of course causing me all kinds of chaos (between packing and internet providers!!) and therefore I'm relying a little bit on scheduled posts at the moment. I've also been a bit limited in the card making and the baking!! This is a very sad state of affairs!!  However, in a couple of weeks time we will be settled into our new home and I really can't wait!!

Anyway, enough of me moaning....we have a new challenge for you this week at Celebrate the Occasion...we want to see your punches or dies this week. I got a little bit carried away with this challenge and made two cards.....

Card one is made using a fab image from our current sponsor Floppy Latte.....

I've gone with an icy blue and grey colour scheme to match the cute north pole image...my snowflakes are punched from white paper and are covered in glitter glue. The image is coloured with my Promarkers.

Card number two uses the same punch, but with a fab santa image.....

I've used polka dots and snowflakes in the background to compliment my glittery snowflakes. My cute Stamp Fairy image is coloured with my Promarkers and I've added a little sparkle to Santa's hat with my Stickles.

Pop by the Celebrate the Occasion blog to see what the fab DT have created for you this week!

I'd like to enter this santa & rudolph card in the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft Challenge - Merry Christmas

Christmas...but not traditional colours!!

Hello there...fancy seeing you here again today!

This is my second post for today...if you are looking for my Sweet Stampin blog please scroll down!

Sooo....it was fab to see all your snowpeople over at My Time to Craft last week! This week we've got another Christmas challenge...but this time we don't want to see any tradtional colours!! Get your thinking caps on.....

I love these bright colours...perfect on a miserable grey December day! I think they kind of remind me of Christmas lights! Anyway, I've coloured my fab penguin image with my Promarkers and have added some gloss to his hat using my glossy accents.

Pop by the My Time to Craft challenge blog to see what fab creations my fellow DT have come up with this week!

I'd also like to enter this card over at Papertake Weekly in their "anything goes" challenge!

I have then added some punched snowflakes that have been coated liberally with more glitter!!

Christmas without red or green!

Hello there! Happy Tuesday!

Its lovely to see you today...I hope you are keeping well! So, its the beginning of December and I am definitly enjoying the Christmas spirit! I am visiting a big Christmas market with my mum and sister tonight and I can't wait! After the fair we'll go for some dinner too, its a lovely tradition that we have started in recent years.

So, another Tuesday means its time for a new challenge over at Celebrate the Occasion....and this week we're flying in the face of tradition! We'd like to see your Christmas creations...but you cannot use any red or green on your card anywhere!!

I've opted for a modern sentiment to go with my modern Christmas card.....

I love this sentiment...it always makes me giggle!! I've opted for pinks and blues for my card, along with that fab Merry Christmas backing paper.

My cute DigiStamp Boutique image has been coloured with Promarkers and I've asdded a little sparkle to her shopping bags with my Stickles. A simple, but pleasing card I think!

Time for some snowmen.....

Hello there...Happy Saturday!

Hope you've had a fab week!

Soooo...have you seen that wonderful advert with the snowman and his girlifriend??As you may be aware I LOVE christmas....and I'm a sucker for a good advert...especially at Christmas time and those snowpeople are soooo cute!!

Anyway, over at My Time to Craft this week we have a fab new challenge...we'd like to see your projects featuring snowmen...so you better get watching that advert!!

The fab DT have come up with some wonderful creations this week, and here is my card.....

To match my cute Pollycraft snowman I have gone with non-traditional Christmas colours....opting instead for some snowy blues and whites! I've gone for a blue background, topped with gorgeous polka dot backing paper. Across the middle is some pretty white punched paper, and I've also added some faux stitching to the edge and some fab snowflakes.

My image has been coloured with my Promarkers and I have been very liberal with the Stickles....there is glitter snow on the image and the snowflakes have been coated in glitter too!!

Cupcakes, cupcakes everywhere!!

Hello there! Fancy seeing you here!

I hope you are well today!

Well its been another really busy week...I'm lucky enough to have Christmas card orders coming out of my ears this year...my designs have proved really popular!! Plus I've got my large consultant event that I am organising...its finally taking place this Friday at the Savoy in London. Its been so much hard work and I now have 75 people attending the event...fingers crossed it goes well!!

Despite all this I've still managed to make some time for some crafting....well all work and no play makes me a very grumpy girl!!

I'm not entirely sure that I'm happy with this card....I think its a bad photo and I rushed the card a little!

My clean and simple card features just three colours....black, white and pink!A very elegant colour combo I think! I've used an oldie, but a goodie sentiment...this one always makes me smile! My cupcakes are stamped and coloured with my Promarkers and I've added a lot of sparkle to my icing with some fab glitter glue. Its the shame that the bling hasn't shown up very well!! Finally I added some faux black stitching to one side of the card.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft Challenge - black, white and one other
Allsorts - bling

I hope you've had a lovely week and you're now looking forward to the weekend! I've had a fun packed and really busy week! Last weekend, as some of you know, I went on a rock 'n' roll themed weekend with my sister Lorna. Its an event thats been held for the passed 15 years in Pontins Camber Sands and I'm pleased to report that we had a fantastic time! There was lots of live music, DJs, dancing, dressing up and cars! It was like we were walking around the set of Grease all weekend! Lorna and I adore the 50s and have started to perfect our look, and we're definitly not there yet....however spurred on by a weekend of people watching we're going back nect year and aim to have full outfits and hair dos!!

Here are a selection of photos from the weekend that I'd like to share with you all.....

This is the Sunday morning "car boot sale"...check out all those fab outfits!

Lorna and her new head scarf!

As well as this fun, I've also had Thursday and today off to celebrate my boyfriend's Birthday.....Joe turned 31 yesterday and we spent the day lounging, going bowling and having a rather yummy dinner with his parents at Jamies in Guildford.

Happy Birthday Joe!

Yesterday was also a special day in America....I hope all my American blog friends have enjoyed the celebrations! Happy Thanks Giving!

With this in mind I also have a a little card for you today.....

Not a traditional thanks giving card...but a thank you card none the less!!

I'm not entirely sure about the colour combo, I wanted something pretty that would compliment the kraft paper...I think it kinda works, but I'm just not 100% sure!!

I've stamped my image on kraft paper and have coloured the cupcake with my Promarkers. The blue paper is pleated at one end...you can't really see it in this photo, but I promise its pleated!!

I've coloured the image with my Promarkers and attached it to the card using 3D sticky pads. The sentiment was created on my computer and also attached to the card with 3D sticky pads. Hello there....thanks for popping by today!

I have had one hectic week, but I am pleased to announce that its officially my weekend now! Tomorrow Lorna and I head off for our 1950s weekend.....and I can't wait! I'm desperate for a break and I think this will be perfect!

Anyway, I've had a little time this afternoon to catch up on my DT commenting, visit some of my bloggy friends and make some cards! Its been bliss!!

As my post header might just suggest Christmas is still not far from my mind! I've made my Christmas cake now....just got the fun bit left to do...the decorating! You probably won't remember my cake from last year, but it had a cute little penguin family on....I think I'll use them again this year and I might add some bits.....after all even penguins need a Christmas tree!!

Hee, hee....isn't he a cutie??

I've coloured my fab DigiStamp Boutique image with my Promarkers and used some lovely autumn coloured papers for the background. I've used my border punch to create the pretty edge on the red paper and punched some snowflakes out of white paper. I've added some glossy accents to the snowflakes on the red paper and some Stickles on the snowflakes in the image! Finally I added my sentiment and some faux white stitches!

I really enjoyed putting this card together.

This week we are celebrating Birthdays...but with a sweet twist as we'd like to see your Birthday cards featuring cupcakes! Now anyone who pops by regularly knows that I cannot resist a challenge that features a cupcake!!

So here are my sweet Birthday wishes....

I love this pretty flowery paper....its the only bit I have, I have no idea where its come from or why its cut wonky at the top!! I know it doesn't fit properly, but I really wanted to use this paper!

I've stamped my image and coloured it with my Promarkers, I've also added a little sparkle to the cherry on top using my Stickles (it hasn't shown up very well in the photo though!!). The image is stuck to the card using 3D sticky pads to make it pop slightly from the card.

Ho, ho, ho!

Hello there...fancy seeing you here!

This is my second post for today...if you are looking for my Sweet Stampin post please scroll down.

Well, I have to say although I was a little resitant to the idea a couple of weeks ago...I am now well and truely looking forward to Christmas! Yes, I've said it out loud...I love Christmas! I've already eaten some stollen...I've indulged in a little mulled wine and yes I have watched a couple of Christmas movies already!! My sister Lorna would be rolling her eyes right now if she was reading this...we still have her Birthday and Mum's Birthday to go before Christmas!!

Anyway, this week's challenge over at My Time to Craft is just what the doctor ordered after my hectic week at work! Our theme is Vintage Christmas...not only do I get to indulge my love of Christmas...I also get to add a little bit of vintage!! Woo hoo!

Here is my creation for you.....

Isn't that image fab?? Its taken from a vintage Christmas card....the original card was damaged and so I couldn't use it, instead I decided to recycle the image from the front. I've used traditional reds and greens and the gorgeous holly paper for the background and added my Christmas greeting. I'm really pleased with this card!

Pop by the My Time to Craft challenge blog to see all the gorgeous DT cards that have been created this week.

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - anything goes

Right...I'm off to listen to some Christmas music...and maybe eat a mince pie or two!!

Happy Saturday!

Hi there...thanks for popping by today!

I'm quite excited at the moment.....as this time next week I will be at a 1950s weekend with my sister! There will be vintage clothes and make up, shopping, cars and lots of live music and dancing. We cannot wait!!

But I still have just under a week to go...so I thought I'd fill the time with some crafting! Today is Saturday and so we have another fab challenge for you over at Sweet Stampin.....and this week I think you're really going to like it! This week we have an "anything goes" challenge...so what are you waiting for??

This week we are joined by two fab sponsors....

Plus we have our wonderful monthly sponsor.....

Pop by the Sweet Stampin challenge blog to see the prizes that you could be winning!

We were very lucky this week to be given an image from Stamp Fairy to play with...and it was a real cutie....

Quite perfect for this time I year I think!!

I originally went with a blue and brown colour theme for this card as I thought it matched the image quite nicely, then I decided the card needed a little zing of colour and so I added the punched flowers and the buttons. When I first finished I wasn't so sure and thought the bright colours a little odd....but my lovely DT have assured me that it looks fine and I'm worrying over nothing! I hope you all agree!  My image has been coloured with my Promarkers and I decided aganist using a sentiment on this card.

Phew! Its Hump Day!

Hello there! I hope you are well.

Well I don't know about you, but I am really pleased that its finally Wednesday evening! Its been a long, long week....and there have only been three days so far! Yesterday was officially my longest day ever in the office....I was there was 12.5 hours!! Not the best!! And today I've spent 4.5 hours on trains travelling to and from our Hospital in Warwick! It was a good day...but after my mammoth day yesterday I could have done without all the travelling!

So when I got in I decided it was time to catch up on some challenges! I've gone girlie this evening with a rather pink card.....

I have to say that I am very pleased with how this card has turned out...its good to be positive!! Its probably to do with using one of my favourite colours and one of my favourite images....couldn't you just sink your teeth into that yummy looking cupcake?

The image has been coloured with my Promarkers, and I have added some sparkle with my Stickles. The layout comes from the fab sketch over at Sweet Stampin this week...

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Sweet Sketch Wednesday - fab sketch!
Top Tip Tueaday - hearts
I Heart Promarkers - pretty in pink
City Crafter Challenge Blog - stars and sparkles....I have to admit that I am now unsure that I've actually used stars...I thought they were stars on the gorgeous light grey paper on the card....but I think they might be classed as snowflakes....I'll let the City Crafter DT decide!

Brrrr.....sending some warm wishes!

Hello there! How are you today?

Oh my goodness...isn't it cold out there?? My little flat has awful heating...the bedroom is the worse where I have one small (very expensive) electric wall heater that is directly below a single glazed window!! I swear all the heat goes straight out of the window!! But don't worry...I've got my huge winter duvet out, my fluffy socks and my cosy PJs!!

I decided to make a card with some warm vibes tonight...what do you think.....

I've used lovely autumn colours for this card....browns and a soft orange, along with an image of a mug of something yummy and warm! My image has been coloured with my trusty Promarkers and is attached to the kraft card using 3D sticky pads. I'm really pleased with the layout of this card....I didn't really plan it, it was a happy accident!

I hope I've created a real sweet Birthday treat here!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

The Pink Elephant - favourite colouring meduim (my Promarkers!)

Talking of sweet Birthday treats...its one of my friend's Birthdays today....a fireworks baby no less!! I decided to make her some cute little chocolate teddy bears using one of my moulds. I do enjoy chocolate making, I find it a very satisfying thing to do...plus you end up with some very tasty treats! What do you think.....

As you can see...these bears are a little bit special...they are coated in a really pretty cold lustre dust!

Happy Birthday Becca!

For him....

Hello there, hope you're having a fab weekend!

Do you ever wonder why the weekends fly by so much quicker than the week days?? I do!! I'm sure that as soon as 6pm Friday comes around we switch to a different...faster time...and as soon as we wake up on Monday morning the time switches back again!!

I've had a lovely weekend....yesterday was spent in Guildford at a vintage fair with my sister. I bought two new dresses from a bargain rail...I was very pleased with myself! I also went to a fireworks display last night, I haven't been to an organised event in years and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Today has been spent in the kitchen.....my perfect Sunday! I've made a new batch of soups to freeze for my work day lunches and I've made a  batch of peanut butter cupcakes.....

I can confirm that they are indeed very yummy!

I've also made time for a little crafting today.....and after all the girlie creating in the kitchen I decided to go with something a little more masculine for my craft......

I created my bookmark using plain brown and blue card, a cute little image that has been coloured with my Promarkers and some shiny gold stars. I've finished the bookmark off with some faux stitching and some bronze ribbon.

I'd like to enter this project in the following projects:

Allsorts - men only
Crazy 4 Challenge - anything but a card
Tuesday Throwdown - team spirit
Crafty Sentiments - seeing stars

Birthday Bubbles!

Good Morning! Happy Saturday!

Hope you're well today. Well long time no see!! Life has taken over some what this week and I haven't made any cards or posted since last weekend! How terrible!!

Me and my friends celebrated Halloween last weekend with our Halloween themed crafternoon tea...it was so much fun! We had spooky music playing, ate spooky treats and made spooky felties! Later in the evening we watched spooky movies! It was such a fab Saturday....here is our table dressed and full of homemade tasty treats.....

As well as little ghost cakes, we had a dead-grass pie (my sister's spooky version of a key-lime pie) and these adrorable ghost biscuits.....

So its another Saturday and that means its time for a new challenge over at My Time to Craft...and I have to say that I really enjoyed making the card for this challenge! This week we have a little colour combo challenge for you...we'd like to see your pink and brown creations! I love this colour combo....I think its so pretty.

Here is my card....

I've teamed my plain brown backing paper with some pretty pink patttenerd papers and a cute mini doilly. I think this gives that card a bit of a shabby chic feel.

I've coloured my cute image using my Promarkers and I have added a little sparkle to the Birthday bubbles with my Stickles!

Spooky Greetings!

Hello there....me again!

This is my second post for today, if you are looking for my Sweet Stampin DT post please scroll down!

Sooooo......my posts today have been scheduled....this is mainly because I am spending today with my sister and some of my friends having a Halloween themed crafternoon tea! We are going to eat lots of spooky homemade treats and then we are going to make something (when I was writing this I still hadn't decided what craft to do....I hope I made up my mind quickly!!). I love these afternoons...they are always so much fun! Having a Halloween theme just makes it even better....pop back tomorrow to see photos of the day!!

This links in nicely with this week's challenge over at My Time to Craft where we'd like to see your Halloween creations!

I love this spiderweb paper and so do lots of you judging by the lovely comments you've been leaving me! I think it looks fab in the background of this card! I have topped the card with some purple and orange swirly papers...perfect for Halloween! I've also added some faux gold stitching to the purple paper. My sweet image has been coloured with my Promarkers and I have added some sparkle to the dress and hat using my Stickles.

What's Cooking?

Hello there....welcome back to another fab Sweet Stampin challenge! I am soooo excited about this week's challenge...its right up my street!!

This week our theme is What's Cooking or Something to Eat. Now as most of you know I love baking nearly as much as crafting - I can easily spend a whole afternoon locked away in the kitchen creating sweet treats - and so this challenge is perfect for me!!

I've also gone a little retro for my card, using fab tin can backing paper, along with some gorgeous cherry patterened backing paper.....

I love this image and use it quite a lot....I also love the sentiment that goes with it! I've coloured my image with my Promarkers and I've added a little sparkle to the glass and pot using my Stickles. I've used plain blue backing paper to frame everything.

Pop by the Sweet Stampin blog to see all the gorgeous DT cards that have been created this week...there are some really gorgeous images!!
