Boys and Their Toys!

Happy Monday!

I've hope you've had a fab day! Well, its another Monday evening and that only means one thing...another fab challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenges....and this week the theme is "boys and their toys". Normally I shuddered at the thought of a masculine challenge....but this time I had just the stamp and just the sentiment for the job!

I really enjoyed making this card and didn't get stressed like I normally do making a masculine card....maybe its because I've used softer "boy" colours...or maybe its because I had a car just like this!! My first car was a little brown mini and I LOVED it!

Either way I'm really pleased with this card! Take a peek at the Cupcake blog to see all the gorgeous DT cards that have been created for us this week!

Right, I'm off for some dinner....and then I'm going to settle down with a movie and this little combo.... thanks for popping by this evening, Wedgie xxx
PS - we have a masculine card challenge over at Sweet Stampin this week too!!

Lots of yummy food!

Hello peeps! Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

Warning...if you're currently on a diet you might want to skip the next bit!!
My weekend has been fab....yesterday was spent mooching around London with my sister Lorna, we wandered around looking in shops and generally having a good natter....then we stumbled across the most amazing ice-cream boutique (yes thats what they called it!!). Its called The Icecreamists and they serve amazing ice-cream, yummy hot doughnuts and fab coffee....this was my rather naughty lunch (I think its lucky we did lots of walking too)!

Today I have been to the Make It crafting exhibition at Farnborough...I was really looking forward to it, but I have to say I was a little least a third of the stalls were non-crafting related!! I have also done a little baking (more about that later) and made some cards....

This card was inspired by the following challenges:

Sweet Sketch Wednesday - awesome sketch
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - white on white (as little colour as possible)
Cute Card Thursday - winged things

I usually struggle when it comes to non-colour cards....I love my baking papers in all there glorious colours! However, I actually enjoyed making this card. I've used both embossed papers and punched papers to add interest. I have highlighted the cute little chicks to make them stand out a little.

I love this makes me smile!! This card is for the "its your choice" challenge at Allsorts this week.

Now where is this baking I mentioned earlier I hear you say. Well, I decied I wanted to bake some cakes today, but couldn't decide what flavour to I made several! I have made coffee cakes, vanilla cakes, baileys cakes and a new flavour that I haven't tried before....strawberry and blueberry! I made these an iced tea mix...I hope they're tasty!

Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed popping by today...its lovely to see you!

Colour Challenges!

Evening folks - happy Friday!

I hope you've had a good week....mine has flown by and here we are again on a Friday evening with the weekend streching ahead of us....wonderful!

I've spent the last hour blissfully crafting while waiting for Joe to come home from work. We're having a homemade pizza and movie night tonight....I'm really looking forward to it!

Anyway, my first card is for the anything goes challenge at Allsorts this week and the black and white colour combo challenge at a Passion for Promarkers...

Hee, hee....I love this sentiment, it makes me smile! I've used my ivory Promarker to colour my teacup (I hope the Passion for Promarkers ladies lets me have this!!).

My second card is for the fab Fluffy Pink Cupcakes challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge this week.....what a fab challenge!! I'm also entering this card in the "use 3 papers" challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.

So I have three fab pink yummy cupcake and a fluffy pink flower! Along with another fab sentiment that I can relate to!

Don't forget to pop by all the blogs to see all the gorgeous DT cards.

Happy Saturday!

Today at Sweet Stampin we have the fab Crafts and Me joining us our weekly sponsor.....and the more the merrier I say as this week we're having a brilliant game of bingo! You know the need to feature three of the elements on our fab bingo board on your card....any three as long as they are in a straight line!

Are you ready? Eyes down....

What a lot of fab things! What will you pick??

I was lucky enough to be able to pick a gorgeous Crafts and Me image from their website for my card this week....and for my bingo card I picked ribbon, buttons and spots......

Now isn't that image fab?? Its so detailed that I decided to colour it using my pencils rather than my Promarkers....I think this was a good decision. I've used grey, blue and green as my colour combo....along with some blue ribbon, a blue spotty button and my paper is spotty! I'm really pleased with how this card turned out.

Pop by the Sweet Stampin blog to see what my fab fellow DT members created this week!

Soooo sweet!

Hello campers...hope you're having a good week so far!

I have a sweet little card for you this evening that I'm actually quite pleased with....

Isn't it cute?? The layout for this card comes from the fab Arlana at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.....isn't it cool? Although my twine is a tad bit wonky!! And looking at it more carefully so are my squares!!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - flower power
Simon Says Stamp - tag it - either make a tag or feature one on your card.....mine is tiny (its on the sweet jar)...but I've made it pop a little by attaching it with a 3D sticky pad

Happy Valentines Day

Hello there...hope you've had a sweet day!

I've got a lovely glass of red and I'm waiting for Joe to arrive for our romantic with some spare time what did I decide to do....what any crafter does....I made a card!

This card has been distressed around the edges (I'm not a fan of distressing - it actually pains me to do this to my lovely backing papers!!) to give a shabby chic feel that I think matches the pretty teacup image perfectly. I've also added a shiny button and some twine, along with lots of faux stitches! My tea has been coloured using my Promarkers.

I'd like enter this card in the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft Challenges - entwined (use twine)
Papertake Weekly - colour combo - black and white and red all over!

Pop by all the blogs mentioned above to see the gorgeous DT cards that have been created.

Well, I'd better turn my attention back to dinner now!

Time for tea!

Hello folks, hope you've had a good Monday.

I'm back from my Zumba nearly finished me off this evening....I can't wait to go to bed!! All I can think of as I'm shaking my hips is that I hope my winter insulation will shake off quickly!
So, this weekend I went to my local shops and looked through all the craft magazines - I subscribe to one magazine that I really like, but I always take a look at the others each never know what you'll find! This time I was pleasantly surprised with some really sweet freebie stamps...

As well as these cute ice cream sundaes there is a Birthday cake and a jar of sweets.....soooo cute!

This card has been created for the following challenges:

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - red, white, black and some texture
Allsorts - Free and Easy
This weekend we had a Valentines themed crafternoon tea at my sisters flat. There were 8 of us in total and we ate lots of very yummy food and made cards. As well as heart shaped biscuits and chocolate covered shortbread hearts, Rafina's gorgeous red velvet cupcakes and Lorna's homemade scones. Yummy! I also made some bread for the open sandwiches. No wonder I need to keep going to Zumba!!

Catching up!

Hello folks - hope you're all keeping well.

Its still rather chilly out there and we're bracing ourselves for some more snow tonight in Hampshire. We've got a crafternoon tea at Lorna's on Saturday....I hope I can get there!!

Right, I think my creativity has been frozen over by all this coldness this week....I've really struggled to make any cards I wanted to share! So, I came home tonight and decided I wanted to catch up on all the challenges I've missed this week!

First off....lets get this straight....this is NOT a card I would give to Joe....I'm sure you'll understand why....

Hee, hee! I'm sure someone else can happily give this card to their other half....but I couldn't...and even if I did Joe would know I was lying!!

This pink and red creation has been made with a selection of pink and red backing papers and topped with a hand written sentiment and a stamped cupcake which has been coloured by my Promarkers. I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Simons Says Stamp - love is in the air
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - pink valentine

Next I have a card that I'm not too keen on...I LOVE the colour combo....but I feel there is something missing....

I've used grey and purple backing papers, topped with some strips of sparkly grey paper. I've attached my stamped teacup using 3D sticky pads to make it pop and I've coloured the image with my Promarkers. I've added some faux stitching around two of the edges and around the stamped sentiment.

This card is for the grey and purple challenge over at a Passion for Promarkers this week.

In the garden....

....well, the snow came last night! It looks pretty out there, but I'm not a huge fan of the snow car is rear-wheel drive and therefore goes mad in the snow and so I can't drive! Plus I worry about twisting my stupid knee and setting off a flare up (I really don't want to end up on crutches again!!). So, with all this white stuff outside whats a girl to do?? Get crafting!!

We're having a valentines themed crafternoon tea next weekend....and as usual I'm really looking forward to getting the girls together for some yummy food and fab crafts! I'm trying to pick the crafts we'll do this time, but I've already decided on my sweet treats!Plus I've been making some decorations for Lorna's flat! Sooooo exciting!

As well as all this planning, I've been making cards and have two I'd like to share with you....

My first card is a bespoke card that someone asked me to make for them.....its pink, shiny and A4 in size......and I had great fun making it! I was given the brief - shoes, bling, pink and silver and that fab sentiment! I'm not sure who its for, but I hope they like it!! I stamped the sentiment with my letter stamps and coloured with my Promarkers. Then I made the shoes out of silver and fab pink sparkly paper. They are 3D and really pop from the card....I added some sequins for extra bling!

I'm entering this card in Allsorts Free & Easy Challenge this week.

I'm really pleased with this second card....its another colour combo that I don't use very often, but I think it looks fab. Fab flowery backing papers, punched flowers, faux stitching and two little bunny rabbits = CUTE!!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Hugs and Kisses (I think they're kissing!!)
Sir Stampalot Challenge - in the garden - I wish my garden looked this lush at the moment!!

Right, I still have lots more crafting time before Joe comes home for I'm off!!

The One I Love

Happy Saturday Everyone!

I hope you've had a fab week....and I hope you're all keeping well in this cold weather - bbbrrrrr!!

Well, here we are another Saturday....and its February already (what happened to January??)!! Over at Sweet Stampin we have another fab monthly sponsor joining us...this month its Joanne Sheen.....and in addition we have Stamp and Create joining us as our weekly sponsor this week!

If you are our lucky winner this week you'll have a fab $20 shopping spree at Stamp and Create - you lucky things!

But what's this week's challenge I hear you cry.....well this week we've gone all lovey dovey on you with the theme...."the one I love".
I'm not that good at romantic cards really.....they seem to fall into that "cards I'm not as comfortable with" cateogry....just like masculine cards. Weird really....romantic cards are typically pink or red and often have a bit of'd think with all my girlie cards I'd love it....but for some reason I struggle!! Sooooo....when I saw this theme I decided to include all my favourite things on the card and see where that got me.....

So, we've got a bit of pink and purple (my favourite colours), one of my favourite new stamps, some coffee (probably my favourite non-alcoholic beverage) and some of my current favourite sparkly backing paper! And to be honest I'm quite pleased with how its turned out.....when I first finshed it I wasn't so keen, but now I look at it I'm quite happy!

Tiny Cute Animals

Hello there - lovely to see you!

Last night while Joe left me alone with the remote control I stumbled across a TV programme called Tiny Cute Animals....and yes it was a full hour of the smallest animals I've ever seen! There was even a dwarf Shetland pony and the shortess cat in the world - really weird!

Maybe I was still thinking about this programme while I was making this card.....

I don't often to baby cards...and I'm not sure if I've ever seen a bunny rabbit on a new baby card, but it seemed right while I was making it!! I've used a mixture of pastel backing papers and I've coloured my little bunny with my Promarkers.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - a fab sketch
Passion for Promarkers - new beginnings
